ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects how the brain processes information and regulates attention, impulse control, and activity levels.
Common Symptoms
Inattention
Difficulty focusing, easily distracted, forgetfulness, trouble organizing tasks, losing things
Hyperactivity
Restlessness, difficulty staying seated, fidgeting, excessive talking, difficulty waiting turns
Impulsivity
Acting without thinking, interrupting others, difficulty with delayed gratification
ADHD in Adults
Many adults discover they have ADHD later in life. In adults, ADHD often presents as:
- Chronic disorganization and procrastination
- Relationship difficulties
- Work or academic struggles
- Anxiety or mood challenges
- Risk-taking or impulsive behavior
- Low self-esteem
